NGO “MEDGLOBAL UKRAINE” and Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University have signed a memorandum of cooperation.

During the visit of MedGlobal President Dr Zaher Sahloul to Ukraine, MedGlobal Ukraine signed a number of memoranda of understanding and cooperation aimed at advancing scientific research, strengthening the public health system and introducing innovative solutions to address the consequences of the war.
One of the key steps was the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Public Health Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. The partnership provides for joint public health projects, scientific research, joint publications, educational events and trainings, and the exchange of international experience. The parties also agreed to cooperate on combating antimicrobial resistance and on the participation of Public Health Center representatives in MedGlobal’s upcoming trainings on response to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.
In addition, MedGlobal signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design to implement the international project “Changing the approach to Role 1–4 medical care in Ukraine to prevent infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms during large-scale combat operations — Protocol 2: Assessing the efficacy and cytotoxicity of biocides”, led by MedGlobal’s early decontamination consultant Hailie Uren.
The project is implemented with the support of the Canada-Ukraine Foundation and aims to improve approaches to preventing infections caused by multidrug-resistant organisms when providing medical care during large-scale hostilities.
The new partnerships will help strengthen Ukraine’s health system by advancing joint scientific research and educational initiatives, enhancing the professional capacity of health workers and introducing international best practices in public health.
